Video is as you may or may not know is growing at a fast pace. And more and more people want their content delivered via video, so they can watch it on their iPod, iPhone, etc. So in order for you to gather more eye balls as they say you need to give your clients and prospects what they want. Here are 3 tips for picking a topic for your videos.

Tip #1: You must be passionate about the topic. If you pick a topic that you don't know or care about it will show on camera. Take for example the reporter who reports on a story they have no interest in at all, they stumble through the story. You can possible get away with no passion in writing, but you can't pretend on video.

Tip #2: You must want to establish yourself as the expert on the topic. While you are most welcome to create videos online for fun, but if you are doing them for your business, you have to select a topic that you know about. For example my videos are on business development and marketing. Now take Gary Vaynerchuk of Wine Library TV, (http://tv.winelibrary.com/) he is an online guru who has a web TV show all about Wines. He has also writing a great book, called Crush It. Gary is passionate about his wines you can see it on the show and in this online spaces.

Tip #3: There must be a market for what you are selling. If you're the only customer, well then you are going to go broke! Pick a topic that people are interested in. What are your girlfriends or your PTA mothers talking about, or for you guys, what are the guys talking about during Monday Night Football. Listen and you may pick up an idea. You need to Google search on your topic and see how many results come up. If a few million come up, you may be onto something. If none or a few hundred come up - run!! Not, not actually you may have to broaden your target market. Let's say that you want to sell basket balls. There may not be a sizable market for videos exclusively on basket balls. There is, however a huge market for learning basket ball techniques.

Until next time - Keep it social
